'Villu' the 48th film of Vijay has been cleared by the censors and will hit theatres in next week. 'Ilaiya Thalapathy' is desperately in need of a superhit as 'Azhagia Thamizh Magan' and 'Kuruvi' were not able to replicate the success of his 'Pokkiri', released in 2007.
The film is very important for Nayantara too, as her last three big budget films--Rajni-starrer 'Kuselan', Vishal's 'Satyam' and Ajit film 'Aegan'-- were duds.
To ensure the success of 'Villu', Vijay has left no stone unturned. The film is directed by Prabhu Deva, the one who had made 'Pokkiri', and it has tunes by Devi Sri Prasad. One of the highlights of the film is a song composed by Prasad, with Prabhu Deva's expletives for 'lyrics'! The disciplinarian director's angry bursts were shot by cameraman Ravi Varma without Prabhu Deva's knowledge.
The film, produced by Ayngaran International, is slated for a release on January 12th.
